A small production company located in the San Francisco Bay Area, ArtisticWhispers Productions originally formed to produce Star Wars fan films and radio dramas. Over the years, it evolved into a corporate communications house, producing internal content for national giants such as Goodwill Industries and FastEMC, local veterans including 2B1 and Shtickle Productions, and startups such as Eduplex and Missing Lynx Systems, and many more. Plus we did a few independent films on the side.
After years of the corporate gig, it struck us that we really wanted to be building our own catalog. So, beginning in 2007, we started work on a long-term plan to shift AWP’s core business into the expanding world of small press publishing. Drawing on its experience and existing infrastructure and partnering with composer Danny Schade, AWP began producing podcasts and full-cast audiobooks for co-founder J. Daniel Sawyer, which went on to receive multiple Parsec Award nominations and finalist slots.
Gail Carriger’s Crudrat is the culmination of the first stage of this transition. It’s a full-cast audiobook production, complete with music and sound effects. This is the sort of work Big Finish and Ladbroke Audio have been doing for Doctor Who and it’s as much fun to make as it is to listen to. Someone once said “the pictures are better on the radio,” and they were absolutely right.
That’s what we do. We make movies with infinite budgets that play in your mind. We help make stories and we help make stories better.
We love our jobs. You will too. So keep your ears open.
I am so excited about this! I listen to Radio Classics on XM radio all day and in traffic. I have already added it to my calendar!

Glad to have you on board! I grew up addicted to OTR shows. I guess it stuck 🙂
